Gözde Böcü

Research Assistant

 

Gözde is a PhD student in the University of Toronto’s Department of Political Science specializing in comparative politics and international relations. Her research interests include democracy, transnationalism, and constitutional politics.

Prior to joining the PhD program, Gözde was a research fellow at Humboldt University researching for the project “Constitutional Politics in Turkey” funded by the Mercator Foundation.

Awarded by the German National Merit Foundation and the German Exchange Foundation, Gözde has studied at the Humboldt University, the Middle East Technical University and at the University of Toronto.

Gözde holds a B.A. and M.A. in Social Science from Humboldt University. Recently, she was a visiting research fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Chair of Comparative Constitutionalism (Prof. Ran Hirschl) at the University of Göttingen.
